It was supposed to be a great way to get a little cash on the side, but the Flat World card didn’t get very far.
The company that was supposed the first online shopping destination for families of all sizes is now looking for a new customer base for the card, according to Reuters.
Amazon and its Flipboard subsidiary are looking for families to help them grow their businesses, which could mean customers who already have a bank account but don’t have access to a credit card.
The two companies are currently testing a credit and debit card and are looking to expand into mobile payments soon, according Reuters.
They are also looking for new members who have limited credit scores to help make the card work, Reuters reported.
The first Flat World cards have been on sale in Canada and the United Kingdom, and in November the company said it was rolling out a nationwide rollout in April.
