You’ve likely heard that you can get a refund for your lost or stolen goods within 30 days of returning them.
But what if that 30-day window doesn’t apply?
Kroger, the largest supermarket chain in the United States, has a solution.
If your merchandise has been lost or damaged, you can file a claim for a refund within a year of receiving it, according to a press release from Kroger.
The company says the return policy applies to merchandise that was not properly packaged or that has not been shipped.
That’s a huge change for consumers, who are increasingly wary of retailers who don’t provide the most up-to-date products.
In the press release, Kroger said it is “committed to providing our customers with a speedy and transparent return process,” adding that the process is simple, easy to use and “compliant with all applicable laws and regulations.”
You’ll need to provide the following information to get started: Name and address of the retailer where you purchased merchandise, or if you purchased online, the address where you can log in.
The address and name of the retail store where the merchandise was purchased.
The number of items, and the date they were purchased.
If you have any questions, you may contact the company directly at (877) 646-2927.
