Chicago’s two theaters are on the verge of shutting down, according to a report from Vice News.
Illinois Commerce Commission chairman Scott Bransfield says the two Chicago-area theaters will shut down on Friday.
They have already closed in Chicago for two weeks.
The Chicago Tribune reports the city has shut down seven theaters in recent weeks.
The closures will affect about 1,500 people, Bransfields office said.
Chicago-area theater owners will still be able to rent the remaining spaces, he added.
